THE STORY BEHIND THE ART

I was happy to have captured so many textures at Skaket Beach in Orleans. Stars peek out behind soft clouds. Sand ripples cover the beach. Grasses blow gently in the breeze.

I wanted to present the scene as it might be seen if illuminated at night, while retaining the stars in the black sky. Since my youth, I have been fascinated by the night sky. I spent many peaceful nights in my back yard in the country with chirping crickets and my telescope. My hope is that this image allows the viewer a moment of quiet contemplation.

Unmatted and unframed. Printed with pigment inks on matte paper, the image extends to the edge. It will be signed and numbered ON THE BACK with archival ink, and you will receive a certificate of authenticity.
